Remodel or Move?

Now that you've added more people, critters and "treasures" to your home, the walls seem to be closing in. You're concerned about the expense of a larger home, but crunchy plaster dust between your teeth and sawdust in your morning coffee just don't appeal to you.

If the "remodeling or moving" dilemma has been keeping you awake at night, try this. Jot down changes that would make your living space more comfortable, then call me. Because I've worked in this market for a number of years, I can give you all the information you need to help you decide whether remodeling or buying a larger home would be the best financial decision for you.

On one hand, the home improvements you have in mind may be the perfect investment for you--or they may overimprove your home for your neighborhood making a future sale more difficult. My job is to let you know which home improvements will give you the best return on your investment.

On the other hand, once we determine the market value of your home, you may be pleasantly surprised to discover that you have enough equity in your current home to make a large down payment on a new home. New mortgage payments could be less than you thought! Imagine ... your dream home and no need to remodel!

If I can help you with your dilemma, put the coffee pot on and call me. I would enjoy being of assistance.
